Overview

Food delivery apps are crowded

Yet most users still experience stress while choosing what to eat. Long browsing times, overwhelming menus, and confusing order tracking remain common pain points.
This case study covers my end-to-end process of designing Feastly, a food delivery experience optimized for decision simplicity, speed, and trust.

The Problem

Food delivery apps are crowded

As food delivery becomes a daily habit, users expect a seamless experience. However, existing apps face three major usability gaps:

  1. Decision fatigue from endless choices

  2. Lack of transparency in delivery time and fees

  3. Low trust in order accuracy and tracking

My goal was to design a product that helps users get to the right food faster, while improving clarity and confidence throughout the order journey.

The Solution & Impact

We set to digitize the whole process.

Wiring is a specialized skill, and even experienced personnel can make mistakes. We identified it as a key factor behind rising costs and quality issues. Not only that but it leads to some gross numbers and errors.

The main idea was to develop a desktop application with a user-friendly interface that assists the wire technicians, and providing them a simplified flow of the steps they need to follow to build the unit and get the job done.

During the discovery phase, we focused on two main goals:
- Define the workflow & key tasks of assemblers
- Research on some of the competitor apps in the market right now

- Research on some of the competitor apps in the market right now

To ensure the best results, we developed an early prototype that included the core features of the final app. We then tested it with real users, which gave us valuable insights into their behavior, needs, and expectations when using a new application.

We delivered a user-friendly application with key features like Bluetooth voltmeter integration, downtime reporting, project commenting, and interactive CAD model viewing. The final solution significantly improved technician efficiency, reduced errors, and streamlined the overall workflow.
